The first one I received was shattered into a million bits, but LifePixel were awesome and sent out another one ASAP. The filter did require A LOT of cleaning before putting it in the camera. It had some really resistant residue on one side of it, but some patience with a sensor swab and sensor cleaning fluid finally got rid of it.
I followed the guide here on LifePixel and it was EXCELLENT. Really clear and easy to follow. That being said this kind of operation is not for the faint of heart. I’d recommend some experience disassembling cameras/electronics before attempting this on your $2000 full frame camera.
But, I am so incredibly happy with my camera now, it feels brand new. New lease on life!
