    Hi Dan,

    I have a Nikon D7000 fitted with your deep B&W 830nm filter.
If I’m only doing B&W work is there any advantage of trying to set a custom white balance in the camera?

Also I believe you can get a DNG profile editor for the D7000 for use with ACR & LR.
    Is it worth using this?
I don’t usually work with DNG files but am flexible if it’s gonna be of benefit.

    Kind Regards,
    Vic Zubakin.

      Hello Vic,
To get your best white balance I always suggest using the RAW editor made for your camera. In this case that would Nikons free RAW editor, NX Studio. Google it and get the free download. It will make a difference.

I have a 720 nm converted Fuji X-t3. I have a number of dust spots that can’t be removed with a small blower. What is the best way to remove the dust spots?
    Thank you. Lydia

Hi Lydia, I successfully used a sensor gel stick and sensor cleaning swab with sensor cleaning liquid.

I am confused about your custom white balance on Nikon cameras. Do I set it using the grass in the sunlight or a white card. What is the difference between the two,
    Thanks

I have had continuing issues with peripheral blurring on my current 5D Mark III full spectrum converted camera using either the canon 17-40mm L lens or the rokinon 24mm lens. Is it a problem with my external filters or the lenses? I usually shoot at F/11 and use live view to focus.

      Hi Marlene,

The newer Nikons are all known to have this issue. That is why all the models have an asterisk and this information is given on the Nikon Conversion ordering page.

These models are random, some will white balance with all filters some won’t. Most just won’t white balance with our Super Color & Enhanced filters. If you shoot RAW then this isn’t a big issue as you can always set a custom white balance in Nikon Capture NX/2 Raw Converter. For more details watch the videos on this page.

If you still have issues, feel free to give us a call.

Nikon Capture NX/ is no longer available. It shows on Nikon’s website, but if you try to order it, it then shows “out of stock.” Also, no old copies available on eBay, either.

Awesome lessons thanks. Now I have resolved my focus issues with my 1980 Nikon FE using electric film Nex. I made up a flat glass filter but now realise I don’t need it. Regards Robin.

I’m downloading RAW images into Capture 9 for Sony, at your recommendation. Unfortunately the images that I see in the camera, that were adjusted with White Balance settings to be more sepia and blue, go back to red in Capture 9. How can I retain the tones I get in my Sony A6000 that I bought from you?
