Unfortunately, most Canon full frame sensor mirrorless cameras that are converted to H-alpha or to Full Spectrum have the potential to exhibit edge distortion and soft focus in the edges with lenses wider than 35mm, especially at larger apertures.  While this potentially occurs with native Canon lenses, the problem can be exacerbated by using aftermarket and/or adapted lenses.  Stopping down to f/5.6 or smaller can help with this.

All of our used cameras include the camera body, a battery and charger. This camera is in very good condition with a low shutter count.  All features of the camera will function perfectly.

You can choose from any of our IR options, Full Spectrum, UV, NDVI, H-Alpha, or even have us remove and replace the Anti-Aliasing filter. With our conversion service, we will replace the internal hot mirror filter with a high quality custom made glass filter. The 5DSR unfortunately has a problem with an internal light source that will contaminate all long exposures of 1 second or more after the conversion. We cannot correct this and the 5DSR does not convert well for long exposures or H-alpha.

Magnetic External Mounted Visible Bandpass Filters

 

Introducing our new magnetic filters!  Allows you to instantly take filters on and off your lenses.  We only use premium, high quality glass that is fully AR (Anti-Reflection) coated on both sides to minimize reflections while maximizing transmission for best performance.  The filter frames, magnetic attachment ring, and magnetic lens cap are all made from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy.

The visible bandpass filter pairs perfectly with a full spectrum converted camera by allowing you to shoot normal visible light images. We selected filter stock that matches as closely as possible to OEM hot mirror filter properties to minimize white balance shift while aggressively blocking infrared light.
