Note: The Panasonic GH7 has an internal IR light leak. Once this model is converted, the internal IR light leak will contaminate all images shot at exposures greater than 1 second and possibly contaminate images made with faster shutter speeds if the ISO is over ISO 640 and you image in a low-light environment. 

However this only fails for stills! This does not impact video recording, tested at ISO 12,800. 

 

USED Sony A7R V Camera & Conversion

 

All of our used cameras include the camera body, a battery and charger.

You can choose from any of our IR options, Full Spectrum, UV, NDVI, H-Alpha, or even have us remove and replace the Anti-Aliasing filter. With our conversion service, we will replace the internal hot mirror filter with a high quality custom made glass filter. After the conversion you won’t need any filters in front of the lens, this means you can hand hold and compose normally.
 
For Full Spectrum: Your camera will capture UV, IR and visible light all at once. For best results you will need to use our external filters in front of the lens to selectively choose one of the 3 light spectrums.
 
Note: The Sony  A7R V uses an IR LED as part of the electronic shutter monitor. Once these models are converted to IR, Full Spectrum, or H-alpha, the internal IR LED will possibly contaminate all images shot at exposures greater than 1 second.  However, it only fails on electronic shutter.  For mechanical shutter or for e-first curtain, they do not have a problem! Tested at 6,400ISO for 30 seconds with the Long Exposure NR setting turned on. 
 
Unfortunately, most Sony full frame sensor mirrorless cameras that are converted to H-alpha or to Full Spectrum have the potential to exhibit edge distortion and soft focus in the edges with lenses wider than 35mm, especially at larger apertures.  While this potentially occurs with native Sony lenses, the problem can be exacerbated by using aftermarket and/or adapted lenses.  Stopping down to f/5.6 or smaller can help with this.
