The 6Dmk2 unfortunately has a problem with an internal light source that will contaminate all long exposures at 800 ISO and higher. We cannot correct this and the 6Dmk2 does not convert well for long exposures.

The 5DmkIV, 5DS, and 5DSR unfortunately have a problem with an internal light source that will contaminate all long exposures of 1 second or more after the conversion. We cannot correct this and these models do not convert well for long exposures.

These cameras require ultra thin filters and because of this the Deep BW filter for these model will still have a little visible light leakage. In order to obtain a pure BW image you may need to set your camera to capture in BW mode.

Capture more detailed images by having us modify your Canon DSLR or Mirrorless by removing the AA Anti-Aliasing filter stack and replacing it with our non-AA replacement filter. This allows you to capture more image detail that would otherwise be blurred internally by the anti-aliasing filter. The main drawbacks are occasional moire patterns in some images and slight WB shift.

Canon DSLR H-Alpha Camera Conversion

Stock cameras have a steep downward curve in the deep reds limiting most of the sensitivity to the hydrogen alpha wavelengths. Have us modify your camera to allow the reds to pass through to the sensor without any blocking of the hydrogen alpha wavelengths. Allowing for much higher sensitivity and thus shorter, less noisy exposures.

Unfortunately, most Canon full frame sensor cameras that are converted to H-alpha have the potential to exhibit edge distortion and soft focus in the edges with lenses wider than 35mm, especially at larger apertures.  While this potentially occurs with native Canon lenses, the problem can be exacerbated by using aftermarket and/or adapted lenses.  Stopping down to f/5.6 or smaller can help with this.

Nikon DSLR and Mirrorless H-Alpha Camera Conversion

Stock cameras have a steep downward curve in the deep reds limiting most of the sensitivity to the hydrogen alpha wavelengths. Important:   The D750 has an internal IR light source that affects long exposures.  However, below are all the methods for overcoming the problem. 
 
1. With Mup it’s good.
2. With Mup and a 1 sec delay it is good.
3. With Mup and a 3 sec delay it is good.
4. With Single shot and a 3 sec delay it is good.
5. With live view and Mup it is good.
6. With live view and a 1 sec delay it is good.
 
Important:   The D780 does have an internal light source that contaminates longer exposures through the optical viewfinder.  However, there is no problem doing long exposures through live view if “Silent shooting for live view” is selected in the menu!
 
Important: The Zf and Z6 III have an internal light source that contaminates long exposures of 1 second or greater if the mechanical or electronic first curtain shutter is used after conversion.
