“I’ve been doing art photography in my studio for over 20 years, tinkering with homemade strobes and lasers and motion-control devices. The COVID-19 pandemic forced me out of the studio, just about the same time I picked up a full-spectrum converted mirrorless camera. I started experimenting with infrared photography, and then ultraviolet. I wanted to see how UV might be interesting in various ways, including portraits and architecture and landscapes. Occasionally it looks just like a regular black and white shot, but most of the time it brings a certain different quality that I like. “
